Danish Oil is suitable for both interior and exterior wood surfaces including garden furniture. As Danish Oil penetrates the timber, it gives an open grain appearance, but still gives full protection from liquids.

Our signature paint, the Marble Matt Emulsion, is a water based acrylic emulsion which has outstanding opacity resulting in excellent coverage per litre, with one litre of our paint covering approximately 15m2. The wood and metal range of paints, available in matt (8% sheen), eggshell (23% sheen) or gloss (80% sheen) finishes are suitable as both interior or exterior paints. Extremely hardwearing and perfect for spraying, our wood & metal range is suitable for woodwork, metalwork, front doors, or skirting boards. They are fast drying, very durable and easy to wipe clean.

Mylands hold a great level of stock which therefore means that your order will be picked and out for delivery within 2 days.
All of the Mylands paint colours are mixed to order which therefore means all paint orders are non refundable and non-returnable.
Waxes, Stains and Lacquers are made in batches and therefore can be returned for a refund within 14 days. The 14 days starts from the day your order has been delivered to you. If you want to return your wax/stain or lacquer order you need to contact us by email to let us know you would like to start a return and we will advise you on the steps that need to be taken. You will be responsible for returning the goods within 5 days of your request to return. Once the goods have been received back at the warehouse, they will be checked and if the goods are free from damage and without any signs of use, your refund will be issued within the following 14 days.

Marble Matt Emulsion | For Interior Walls & Ceilings
For interior walls, ceilings and bathrooms, our Marble Matt Emulsion paint is made with crushed Carrara marble
delivering a fantastic depth of colour and luminescence as well as outstanding durability.
The marble matt emulsion is a waterbased acrylic emulsion paint for interior use. NOT suitable for woodwork (Except painted decorative furniture, apply wax on top of emulsion).
Application
Before use clean surfaces to be painted ensuring any grease, dirt or flakes are removed. Do not use in extremes of temperature. Use between 8ºC and 30ºC. Stir well before use. This product is formulated for brush or rolled application.
Thinning
This paint has a high pigmentation. It can be thinned up to 45% and still be used as a second or third coat for a fine finish. On porous surfaces (e.g. bare plaster): thin the first coat with up to 30% water. Slightly porous surfaces: thin first coat with up to 15% water.

Wood & Metal Paint | Gloss, Eggshell & Matt
The Wood & Metal paints are good for both interior and exterior use on wood and metal substrates come in three different finishes: Matt, Eggshell or Gloss. Extremely durable with a high quality finish in each category, our Wood & Metal paint is unparalleled in terms of its performance: scrubbable, sprayable and durable it is perfect for high traffic areas.
Matt
A perfect matt appearance paint for interior and exterior woodwork and metalwork.
Eggshell
The classic slight gloss finish of eggshell for interior and exterior woodwork and metalwork.
Gloss
A traditional full gloss paint for interior and exterior woodwork and metalwork.
These are waterbased alkyd topcoats for use on timber and metal substrates. They replace the old oil based products, but with no compromise on performance. Suitable for interior (including kitchens and bathrooms) and exterior use.
Application
Use over appropriate primer if required. On timber substrates apply over Mylands Wood Primer and Undercoat. On metal substrates apply over Mylands Metal Primer and Undercoat. Do not use in extremes of temperature. Use between 8ºC and 30ºC. Do not apply when rain or dew is imminent.
Stir well before use.
These products are formulated for brush, roller application and can be sprayed.
Thinning
Should it be deemed necessary to thin, water should be used up to 10%.
Coverage
On average per litre 14m2.
Floor Paint
Durable, mid-sheen paint with a satin sheen finish suitable for use indoors on old, tired or bare wooden floors. This is a water based alkyd for use on wooden floors. This product is NOT suitable for use on concrete or cement floors.
Application
Before use clean surfaces to be painted ensuring any grease, dirt or flakes are removed. Ensure that knots are painted over with a knotting solution. Do not use in extremes of temperature. Use between 8ºC and 30ºC. Stir well before use.
Thinning
If necessary to thin, water should be used up to 10%.
Coverage
On average per litre 14m2.
Masonry Paint
Walls, brickwork and render, Mylands Exterior Masonry paint has a beautiful flat matt appearance yet is hardwearing, weatherproof and mildew resistant.
A waterbased acrylic for use on masonry. NOT suitable over limewash or lime based renders.
Application
Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry and free of contamination. If painting over powdery or porous surfaces use stabilising solution. Treat algal/fungal contaminated surfaces with dilute bleach or with a proprietary wash. Do not use in extremes of temperature.
Use between 8ºC and 30ºC.
Do not apply if there is likelihood of rain.
Thinning
If necessary to thin, water should be used up to 10%.
Coverage
On average per litre 15m2. Dependant on substrate exture and porosity.

How much paint do I need?
As a general rule, on average a 1 litre tin of paint covers 14m2 of surface.
Remember, it’s best to buy all the paint required for a project at one time, as there can sometimes be tiny colour differences between paint batches.
How do I store the paint?
All of the paint products must be protected from frost. Store at temperature above 5°C. Use within 12 months.
How do I clean my brushes/rollers?
Wash your brushes and rollers immediately after use, in warm water containing a little detergent.
