Mylands Metallic Paints
Mylands, Britain’s oldest family-owned paint manufacturer and Royal Warrant holder, has long been associated with the entertainment industry, and its film, television and theatre collection is a celebration of the brand’s long-standing work with the British film industry. With a special palette of archive colours, the collection includes four metallic hues, which have been developed for the sector and skilfully reformulated for use in the home for the first time.
Mylands’ metallic paint collection includes four shades that can be used to add a glamorous look to walls and accent features, while also bringing light and warmth into a space. Luminous touches of gold, silver, and copper metallic accents can be used in any interiors, from bedrooms to kitchens and dining rooms.

Mylands is proud to use natural earth pigment in our paint. Not only is it eco-friendly, but it enhances the paint colour, making it deeper and richer.
Our paints are water based and almost solvent-free, with a low VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) content. They’re kind to you, your family and the environment. Mylands paints are easy to apply, with quick drying times. You’ll notice the lack of paint odour and how easy paint brushes clean up. Our Marble Matt Emulsion paint, is a water-based acrylic emulsion. It’s exceptional opacity results in remarkable coverage per litre. One litre of our paint covers approximately 15m2.
Our interior paints are durable and washable, making them ideal for family spaces. Order a tester pot to find the right shade for your project.
We have paint for a variety of surfaces and with a range of finishes. The wood and metal paints come in matt (8% sheen), eggshell (23% sheen) or gloss (80% sheen) finishes. Our exterior paints are extremely hardwearing. Perfect for spray paint usage, our wood and metal range is suitable for woodwork, metalwork, front doors, or skirting boards.
Currently the products are produced from long life polyurethane, which is not recyclable. However, all the materials used to trim out the panelling are recyclable.
The manufacturers have conformed to certification no: EN ISO 14001 since 2010, and at that point also invested in a large solar power plant, and a recycling unit. They operate in an environmentally responsible way, and in compliance with all relevant environmental EU legislation. This reflects in all aspects of the materials and energy management.
Positive Investments
In 2020 the manufacturer spent 800,000 Euros adding to their solar power energy production by filling the acres around the factory with solar panels, which work alongside the solar panels on the factory roof.
Ongoing Commitments
+ Reduce usage of all kinds of waste, and maximise re-use of internal waste.
+ Strive to maximise the use of eco-friendly products and materials.
+ Reduce energy consumption by improving internal work procedures and smart capital expenditure.
Why choose Purotouch over other materials?
Many wooden products are prepared with harmful toxic chemicals, and MDF has known carcinogenic properties.
The plaster industry requires very large quanities of natural resources every year to produce products from.
Preparation
Prep is the key for perfect paintwork. Make sure to have tools, fillers, sealants, sand paper and paint ready for your projects or renovations. When it comes to painting any surface, be it woodwork, metalwork or masonry, make sure to put the work in before application To get the best effect, ensure surfaces are smooth, bump and dirt free before applying a primer and the final choice of colour.
