5 Ways to make your house feel like a hotel

Weekends away have been non-existent for so long, it’s hard to remember a time when we could zip off to a boutique hotel for a decadent few days of rest and relaxation. Sipping cocktails at the bar, luxuriating in a deluxe bathroom and admiring hotel design at its best is a distant memory.

But who’s to say you can’t recreate some of that magic at home?

There’s no reason you can’t inject some 5 star style into all the rooms in your house. A polished boutique hotel look is all about luxurious layering and original design products. Capture the grandeur and elegance of Victorian or Georgian period properties, club houses and exclusive gentleman’s clubs. Here are five ways you can add some old-school understated elegance with a little modern glamour....

1. The Whiskey Bar Look

Any boutique hotel worth its salt has traditional wood panelling that screams quality and sophistication. 2. Peaceful corners
